Interface Zero 2.0: Full Metal Cyberpunk

FULL METAL CYBERPUNK!

In a not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by global warming, subjected to the horrors of nuclear war and natural disaster, witnessed the collapse of the mightiest nation in the history of the world, and the rise of other nations to take its place. In East Asia, the Bear and the Dragon battle for control of the resource-rich continent, and an emergent A.I. known only as Charon has destabilized the whole of Europe, sparking revolution and chaos not seen since the Second World War.

On the North American continent, the prospect of conflict once again rears its ugly head as terrorist bombings in Atlantica, bring the nation to the brink of war with the North American Coalition. Is this the work of Charon, as well, or are other forces moving behind the scenes? Only time will tell.

Science has hacked the genome, unlocking the secrets of DNA to facilitate the creation of new breeds of human; genetic hybrids, human 2.0, and even simulacrum— a slave race grown in amniotic vats and sold on the open market. Cybernetic technology has reached the point where those with the money and the will to do so, can become living machines. Computer science has grown by leaps and bounds as well.

Dubbed Interface Zero by those who created it, the Tendril Access Processor—or TAP—downloads the Global DataNet and Hyper Reality directly into the minds of billions of users across the solar system, bringing the world an unparalleled level of interconnectivity, and danger. Malware plagues the Deep, and hackers manipulate the Tendril Access Processor to upload malicious virii, steal secrets, and even the identities of the unwary.

This is the world in 2090, omae; let’s hope you survive it.

Interface Zero 2.0 is a cyberpunk game powered by the Savage Worlds game system. Play bioroids, full-metal cyborgs, vat-grown simulacra, genetic hybrids, Human 2.0, and even androids! Hack the world around you with our revised hacking rules, or take control of a drone and lay down some fire-support for your team! Get cybered with new cybernetics using our Fast Furious and Fun rules!

Interface Zero 2.0 is created by Peter J Wacks, David Jarvis, Hal Maclean, Matt Conklin jr. and Patrick Smith

This E-book comes in two versions, a flattened file for viewing on your IPAD or Kindle, and a layered screen version so you can create a printer-friendly file.

This is the superior version of Cyberpunk. The book is well made too! The only negative is that the lingo gets annoying.

Are the hardcovers still available for this, and are there any other supplements needed to run a first-time game? :)

I think I need to redo the POD HC, but you can still order them from places like Studio2 Publishing.

this setting looks very appealing for me except "supernatural" elements like zeeks and hybrids. can I exclude them without breaking the game/lore?

Is there another way to order a hardcopy of the book or is it available only through POD? My previous experience with POD was a bit disappointing I would say, but I am really interested in getting a hardcopy.

I bought a hardcopy on amazon a few months ago, so yes it is still out there elsewhere. I avoid POD unless there is no other option and I don't feel like printing something myself --color laser printers are great for this, but then you need to bind them.

I was able to get a hardcover copy directly through my FLGS via their distributors. Ask if the book is carried by the distributors of your nearest hobby or game shop if you're interested in it that way. Usually ordering it from an FLGS and paying in advance means you get a discount (15% in my case) taken off of MSRP, and do not have to pay shipping (as it comes with the rest of the next shipment from their distributor).

Noticed this file was updated a few months ago but the individual players and gm book (which to my understanding was the same content) hasn't been updated in 3 years?

I've played Savage Worlds for years and as of late my play group has been leaning more towards cyberpunk settings. This game caught my interest but I no longer own the Savage Worlds core rule book.
Do I need to buy Savage Worlds to run this game or are all the basic rules included in this book?

I bought the physical book a few months back (a signed copy!), and I love it. I'm currently running a game in the setting set in the Spokane DMZ, because the description was perfect (I'm a local).

Anyway, just out of curiosity, is there any way I can get access to the updated information without having the buy the PDF? It's cool if not, just thought I'd check. Thanks!

Is there a lot of setting information in this book as compared to the Fate Core version? I already have the Fate Core version, and I am curious if I should purchase this as well to get more in-depth details on the Interface Zero world.

The setting information in the Fate core book is actually a little more detailed than this version. We're working on updating this version with the newer material.

Quick question: Just got the PDF thanks to a friend purchasing it for me as a gift, and I'm reviewing the timeline - I was wondering, is "Messianic" deliberately misspelled? Is it supposed to be entered as two words in the timeline as an easter egg or a foreshadow/gotcha? Or should it be errata-bait? I'm about to dive in to the full text, but I thought I'd ask, in case the answer was "wait and see". :)

Sorry for the delay in replying, DTRPG didn't notify me that a reply had come in until today, oddly enough.

In IZ20_Time_Line_20140613.pdf, it is spelled "Mess ionic," with a space between the two words, like so:

2016: Mess ionic ecoterrorist group

That is a direct copy and paste from the PDF.

Do I have an old copy? This is the copy that was included in the purchase, so I would assume it's the current revision? I'm not trying to be problematic, here, I swear, but I also am looking right at the misspelling. If there were a way to include screen captures in our reply, I would.

Thanks much! Hope the holidays are going well for you. :)

The file seems to be about 23mb and I have other pdf-files in my library that are way bigger (563,06mb) and they seem to roll just fine with their pages. Seems a bit odd, and also it makes reading IZ a bit unpleasant.

So I have a few questions regarding this book:

1. What are the biggest differences between the editions? (Both in rues and setting)
2. Are the supplements from previous editions compatible?
3. How lethal is the combat?
4. Are the hacking rules fast and easy? (Compared to Shadowrun or Cyberpunk)

I have never played anything using the "Savage Worlds" rules, sorry if any of these questions are redundant.

Hi, We've expanded on the setting alot, bringing the timeline up by two years. Aside from game mechanics like psionics, all of the older supplements are compatible. Combat is lethal, but all Savage Worlds combat is lethal. For that, you'll want to familiarize yourself with the Savage Worlds game system.

We've streamlined the rules for hacking (Basically a 3-step process, now, unless you get into combat, and then it resolves using cyber combat rules), added rules for drones, and mecha combat.

I just got it (after reading through the Savage worlds rules) and I love it!

However, I have just one further question/request. Would it be possible to add a text only PDF to this pack? It tends to load really slow with all the images and backgrounds. It is ok to read the rules but looking them up fast (like during an actual play session) is a nightmare for me.

The pdf-file seems to take its sweet time trying to load each page. I've tried this with both my friends "super-awesome-gaming" computer and with my laptop and both stutter more or less when navigating through the pages. However, this is just the thing I need as I've tried to find easy to play and rules-light system to run cyberpunk-rpg.

I have the hard cover of the book, however will not let me review on the review tab. We just recently decided to pick up a Savage Worlds game, IZ0 was where we stopped. The product is of an excellent quality, the lay out is excellent. Purchased a few of the RPGDrivethru PDF's and all have been excellent.

Is there plans to push out any other single sheet adventures, focused around the Novice range/

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
