The Illusionist - A Dungeon World Playbook

Sure, some wizards throw fireballs or lightning bolts or transform into dragons, but you work a more subtle craft. Why spend years trying to summon a demon when you can pretend one is there instead? Illusions let you do almost anything…as long as nobody else figures out what is going on, of course.

The Illusionist is a new playbook for Dungeon World. Master of...well, illusions, you will play as a practitioner of the most cunning and devious of the magical schools. Confuse and deceive your foes with powerful illusions. Blast them with your Color Spray. Throw a magic show in town!

The Illusionist is part wizard, part trickster, and inspired both by classic D&D as well as stage magicians. Many of their moves revolve around deception, of course, but the deception can do a lot for you. You can protect yourself with mirror images, detonate your illusions on unexpecting foes, and even conjure a phantom bodyguard!
