Is there a way I can see the changes made in 2022 October? What changed since the revising?

Hi! We'll see what we can do, but we updated the weapons rules, cleaned up some errata/typos, clarified actions, etc.

Are there any plans to update the Player Handbook version of the rules? (With just the rules and none of the settings.) It'd be nice to have a low cost way to give players the updated rules.

Thanks!

Two questions: Can enemies use their ranged attack twice? Lastly, when are save tests done? For example the Snake has the constrict trait. Let's say a character fails their initial save and becomes grappled by the snake. Does the character make another save test at the beginning of their next turn or at the end of their next turn?

On the first question. It takes one action to load a Ranged weapon. So, you can either load, then fire; or you can fire then load if you started with the weapon already loaded. This means you are effectively limited to one attack per turn. The exception is the Quick Shot trait. With that trait you may load and fire as a single action, allowing for two shots per turn.

With Constrict, I read it to allow your save test at the beginning of you turn. The reason is because it looks like you can act if you successfully make your save, which would be the beginning. I'd call it a GM decision.

If a character has mastered a heavy weapon and tries to attack when in near range, do they roll with disadvantage or a normal roll? I'm a bit confused

Heavy weapons have the following rules:
• They do 2 damage.
• If you make an attack with a heavy weapon, you may not attack with any weapon or item this turn. (Conversely, if you attack with any weapon or item, you may not attack with a heavy weapon this turn.)
• Heavy weapons are held in two hands.
• They can be used to attack a Near Range, but you suffer Disadvantage on the attack.

Hi,

I have 3 rules questions:

1) Using Light Melee Weapons "frees you up to do other things with your other hand, such as grab a potion" (p. 11). Can't you grab and use a potion between attacks while wielding a ranged or heavy melee weapon?

2) Most example enemies lack an attack option in text. Are they intended to fight with mastery, too?

3) How does the vigilant trait for enemies work?

Thank you and best regards :-)

Heavy weapons require two hands to wield and use, but light weapons do not.

Enemies attack with standard attacks that deal 1 damage, unless otherwise noted.

Hi. Sorry to be asking you here but the contact from at the bottom of your company website doesn't appear to be working. Quick question regarding updated versions of the various “Tiny” titles. I got an email offering a discount on the updated version of Tiny Dungeon 2e, and it got me wondering if the other titles (i.e., Supers, Frontiers, Advanced Tiny Dungeon, etc.). I bought into the system less than a year ago, acquiring 13 titles to date, so while I am in favour of cleaning up mistakes etc, you can imagine that the idea of how to go out and repurchase a number of books that I, relatively speaking, only just got in order to get the current rules is a bit disheartening. Please let me know.

Hey Hugh! It'll be going up tomorrow! The books arrived late Friday, and we had to take the weekend to review them and make sure the change log is accurate. We'll push it out tomorrow evening.

THIS book is worth the cash.

I think though, the source is asking way too much for things like Tinyzine.
The Micro settings portion of the book, well no offense meant to the authors, but if a GM can't imagine their own settings for a game this uncomplicated, then they likely should stick to being a player.

The wise gamer will be wise to consider the Player's Guide, which is the entire game really.

How is this different from Mini Six: Bare Bone ed. ?

Hi! Happy to answer.

Mini-Six is based on the West End Games D6 System OpenD6 version, so d6s are rolled and then summed.

TinyD6 uses 1-3 six-sided dice, and you're looking for a successful roll (any roll with a 5 or 6). Aside from the use of six-sided dice, the games are relatively different (character creation, damage, actions, etc. all function differently.)

I guess I was confused because they both have an adjective for small and six in their names. Thanks for clearing that up.
Cheers!

Alan I love the Tiny Dungeon 2E, I did have one question and I’m hoping there’s a guide or even some suggestions on how I can convert 5E monsters to TD 2E monsters. I’d love to use your system to run Ruins of Phandelver or other beginning 5E pre made adventures. I know a guide or book that could do this would get my money. I know with enough hard work I could probably figure it out but I’m not sure how balanced it would be. Anyone including the author have any rough ideas on how to accomplish this?

Great for small kids. Tests require a 5 or 6 on d6. Number of d6 you get depends on situation but normally two. My 5 year old can roll and instantly know if she succeeds. Her brain could not process a d20 check. See also professor dungeon master review called 'best rpg for kids' for more on why it is good for kids.

Scratching my head on something. Is the "unarmed" weapon group granted by the "martial arts" trait effectively a "light melee" weapon for purposes of combat? The rules don't seem to specify.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
