GO BEYOND THE BOARD!

In a world where champions fight:

For sweet, sweet uranium, To defeat their enemies in brutal Challenges, and To save the Earth from Alien Invaders, Only a Monkey, Ninja, Pirate, or Robot has the Mojo to get the job done!Only a Monkey, Ninja, Pirate, or Robot has the Mojo to get the job done!

"This is the best game ever." -- Emily Dresner-Thornber

Based on MNPR and MNPR Deluxe (2003 Origins Award Nominee, Best Abstract Board Game), Monkey, Ninja, Pirate, Robot: the Roleplaying Game takes the fast-paced, beer 'n pretzels game from the board to the tabletop.

MNPR:RPG is a 64 page PDF, which contains:

  • A complete game system. The Prose Descriptive Qualities (PDQ) System has been designed for simplicity, speed, and lunacy in play. Three levels of resolution, suitable for any type of situation. (A free download containing the PDQ Core Rules is available here on RPGNow.)
  • A wacky conceit. Strange heroes duke it out for glory, for Mojo, and for the honor of Earth itself.
  • A complete introductory scenario. Suitable for any group of PCs, "Invasion of the Mojo Snatchers" provides maps, NPCs, and potentials for adventure as the characters seek out the weird secrets of the Golden Pagoda Ninjas!

Get your Mojo working, and download MNPR:RPG now!

Chad Underkoffler sees gaming through a more unique lens. I've collected just about all his titles, but find that this installment may be a bit too quirky. I recommend going with "Truth and Justice" or "ZoZ" before running with this [...]

First, let me say that I got this for free during ThanksGiveAway 2007. I had never heard of MNPR:RPG before, nor had I heard about it's board game predecessor. I am sorry that it took me this long to find what has got to be one of the funniest RPG book [...]

You can't really go wrong with Chad's work or PDQ in general if you want to run something free flowing. [...]

After being on a steady diet of d20 products and World of Darkness for the past couple of years, Monkey, Ninja, Pirate, Robot: The Roleplaying Game, by Atomic Sock Monkey Press, was like a breath of fresh air. MNPR:RPG uses a very flexible, ru [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
