"3D" A Fantasy Tavern 28mm Papercraft Wargaming Terrain Model
by Ted B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/11/2015 14:22:12

I'm torn on this one - the model itself is great, really wonderful. But the instructions are not very helpful, it's this very odd "blueprint" system that uses a "match this numbered tab to this line", but I find instructions like "build this section, and connect it to this" more helpful than trying to read whether that line is marked "68" or "58". I ended up just winging it in the end, and hoping I got it right by eyeballing the photos of the completed Tavern.

Overall, it comes out to be a great model, it's just the instructions really are a pain.

"3D" Fantasy Village House Terrain with Full Interior
by Daniel S. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/03/2015 17:58:44

This was really fun to put together and (mostly) easy to understand. My only complaint was that some of the construction had to be intuited from the pictures and were not clear from the instructions. I still haven't figured out how the table and chair legs were supposed to come from. But the rest of the construction, particularly for a two-piece house, was a snap, and I would purchase and assemble another set like this in a heartbeat. Had a blast with this!

"3D" Darklord Watchtower
by Roy B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/02/2015 19:22:51

I want to start by saying that this model is impressive. With a base diameter of almost 12 inches and a height of 15 and 1/2 inches, it DOMINATES the tabletop. It is definitely a fine addition to your 3D terrain. Having said that I do have some problems with it.

This kit is not for novices. starting with the first level (there are 3), there were points that were, in my opinion, unclear. My experience with cardstock terrain models enabled me to figure out what the author meant but a newbie would be hard pressed. This problem just got worse with each subsequent level. It is like the author laid everything out clear and concise and then was told that he had to edit out parts to get the total number of bytes down to a certain limit. You clearly can't skimp on the graphics so they left out some steps in the instructions/illustrations. Perhaps they figured that if you followed the instructions laid out in level one, they didn't need to repeat themselves again in level 2 or 3. You would just "know" what to do. I found that very annoying and I am sure a newbie would end up confused.

The authors also suggested that you use double edged tape in some places stating that it made a great substitute for glue. I would go so far as to say double edged tape is MANDATORY in some areas. You can put it together without double edged tape (I did it after all), but double edged tape will save you a lot of time, aggravation, and frustration.

This is also a fairly complicated build. Three floors (2 of which have interiors) and other details. You will not complete it in an evening Being retired with more time than money, that was not a problem for me but be prepared to spend 2, or even 3 evenings working on this beauty.

Files sizes are a bit too large. As for the model and textures, they are neat and pretty. Instructions are good. I would like to see more models like this and like Tavern (but with interior). Price on the sale is affordable for me ($1.99).

"3D" Abandoned Wizards Apprentices Tower

hi folk, not bad model.. but I think there is more to build on to this model and not a stand a lone, it looks like a small square house with lots of out side buttresses as of the building will callaps when not supported by a lot of out side stone works. will find other models to put together as a house with a tower, cheers
