This book combines the work of several authors to provide a taste of what the Post Apocalyptic World is like. Learn about Shedra the sorceress and Tomas the warlord. Find out what dangers lurk in the forests, and what life is like in the city of Greybar. Here are the monsters and enemies the PCs will have to deal with as they struggle to put the shattered world back together. There are also two very useful sections - one on how to deal with divine magic in a world without gods, and the other on how to fitvarious races into the campaign. 20 pages.

I'll admit I got this issue specifically for the solo RPG in the back. I've played through the game a couple of times and though simple, it did effectively kill a couple of boring hours at work.

Since then I've also read through most of the issue and I found all of the content very good. Being a Pathfinder player it's a bit more 4E centric than I'd like, but that's not a big deal as adapting other material is all part of the RPG experience anyway.

Overall a very good product...I'll be checking out the rest of the series soon.

It's a good effort, but ultimately, not what was advertised. It's not system agnostic. It's compatible with the ones listed, and virtually incompatible with nearly everything else.

I enjoyed this magazine. I seen some of my dad's old 2nd Edition stuff, and the drawings and personal stories/supplements here seem to have that feel. I like the feel of it and hope you guys continue publishing these things. While I'm an avid Traveller fan and thus more into Mongoose's Signs and Portent emagazines, this magazine has given me ideas. Keep up the good work!

Likes: Neat way to introduce setting. Introduction and key concepts are on one page, followed by several 1-page essays (a place, a person, an adventure location). I also liked the quick character concepts with a sentence or two for roleplaying, they were are very well done. The illustrations are simple and line-drawn but evokative.

Dislikes: It might be a bit too short. The section on magic is one page and gave only a few suggestions; I felt I still needed some advice on how to stage magic in the setting (or maybe my frustration was more with "this is your setting, go play" style of book that needed a couple of examples for different levels of magic?). Although I liked the many plot hooks and one-paragraph adventures, I wanted something a bit more fleshed out (these last two sentences are actually a "like" -- it left me wanting more rather than feeling too frustrated to continue).
