Made a team and played through the initial series included in the main book. It plays very well, very edge of seat once the action heats up. Also played through "Rangers of Shadow Deep" which this is based on but feels different enough that it is very enjoyable. Definitely feels more light and somewhat easier to approach and play vs RoSD. Heroclix figs work well and books and boxes work well for your terrain. Definitely recommend. Picked up all the expansion adventures in pdf and hope more are coming soon.

Been running this for about a year or so. Its pretty much perfect. My old group was bored with 5e. Nothing in particular, we all sorta fell out of love with it, everything started to feel the same after a while. Someone had an old RC laying around and we dove into that, then someone got sick and that group broke up. New group, playing 5e again, couple people mention wanting something more. I am about to get an RC pdf (before the latest POD), then find DD. Cleaned up RC with frankly simpler combat calcs and full Immortal rules/wep profiencies......sign me up. Most of the group bought a pod copy via lulu.

Love the game, the group is very happy with how the characters are turning out and to be honest its just more fun than 5e for campaign games IMHO!

Decent scan but the wilderness map and castle map are still missing. A main draw to this module is the "small" area to sandbox in without much in the way of prep. Sure you can find a generic city and wilderness on the internet, but this module for years came with those maps and are detailed in the book. Why leave them out? AS for people buyingn POD? You should take your money to ebay if you want an iconic complete module, at least that seems to be the message WOTC is implying with this version of the module.

My POD book arrived. 6.5 out of 10 on print quality. Text has a wierd blur to it and the blue graphics are very light and hard to read. The good news is the hard copy has the wilderness and keep maps and all the tables to run the adventure unlike the pdf download which is still missing these bits.

Works great, used it alongside Mythic Game Master Emulator to test drive a couple short moduels in Dungeon Crawl Classics. After taking an hour or so to read over the book I was playing solitaire in no time. Very intuitive system that once you play through a fight or two becomes second nature and does not add much in the way of complexity on top of your current rules system.

I am trying to figure out a way to run GURPS with it though as I am developing some smaller one shot adventures and I want to run thrugh them first with a solo character, but have not devised a system for it yet.
