The Eidolist: A New Class Option

This is an exact copy of H J puffinstuff’s class of the same name can you explain why is this a recreation Or are you stealing his class?

Question to author about "Legion": what is "forth greater beasts"?

Looks like it could be fun to play, I did notice a few things that you may want to correct. Forewarning, some of these may just be personal preference or being picky but yeah.

1. The Avatar ability description seems really messy and a little hard to go through.
2. the Life Link ability description is partially repeated between the two pages it is split between.
3. You should probably swap the position of Same Soul and Bonded Senses so they are in the correct level progression.
4. Masters Call ability seems incomplete.
5. You have an ability granted at 17th level for the Brood Master archetype but you do not for the Bonded One or Evolutionary.
6. You only mention Evolutionary and Bonded one in the initial description for Eidolist Archetype
7. You might want to change Keen Smell to something like Keen Senses and have it be like the improved damage but for sight/sound/scent. This would make it so if their Avatar already gets a bonus for keen nose they would still have...See more an incentive to invest in this if desired.
8. For the Swift evolution, it doesn't seem like increased reflexes would improve how fast you can move, just how fast you can react.
9. Chameleon Skin -gets advantage on HIDE.. cause it's hide..heh heh (I will see myself out :P)
10. Charge: there is already a like named feat that requires you to use the dash action and then allows you to make a melee weapon attack as a bonus action at the end of the charge. If it hits you can push the target back up to 10 feet or do +5 damage.
11. You may want to change the wording on Reflect to something similar to the Rogues Uncanny Dodge.
12. Fortitude: As is it is similar to the undead version, this should probably be limited in uses or increasing difficulty.
13. I may be mistaken, but I believe the normal Multi-Attack trait that monsters get allows them to attack with all natural weapons. Not positive on this one.
14. Amorphous description contradicts itself.

Sorry for the wall of text, I haven't had a chance to finish reading, if I see anything else I will let you know... that is assuming you want me to.

Nicely written. I can see a slight similarity with the Summoner from pathfinder (which is my favourite class in all of d20 games)
However I believe that some of the evolutions need some clarification:
1) the +2 AC evolution is it stackable? at third level can I get it three times?
2) Agile and Nimble feet evolutions are exactly the same with different names.
3) Innate spellcasting evolution: is the spell list you can learn spells the Eidolist spell list? Can the Avatar get the find familiar spell so you have two familiars?
4) Can you cast mage armor on your avatar? How does it interact with the stackable +2 AC evolution? With the prof bonus to his AC and all the previously mentioned things, you can hit 20 AC pretty early in the game. And with the deflect evolution you can virtually have 23 AC vs a single attack every round earlier than anyone else in the game.
5) With Pack Tactics evolution (advantage on attack rolls when an ally is within 5ft of you) your accuracy skyrockets....See more Is it normal that you can also take the poison evolution and try to attack every enemy once to give them Poisoned condition (disadvantage on their attack rolls) for a 1 minute?
6) Is there a limit to the Natural Attack evolutions you can take? Can I have a XXX attack (1d6 + str) and two claw attacks (1d6 + str) by lvl 3? The evolution doesn't specify anything (nor under the Avatar rules). Should I check the Multiattack evolution and assume that you can pay for a second attack by buying the multiattack evolution?
7) I assume you were inspired by the summoner class from pathfinder. Did you intend to include the feature where you can cast any spell of ''self'' range to your Avatar but forgot it? Or you skipped it for reason? Was just wondering :P


Would be nice to see more evolutions that is not related to +x damage, etc. More flavour stuff. I am going to playtest the class this month with my group.
